TCFD Disclosures
The Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) is a global framework that aims to promote consistent and transparent reporting of climate-related risks and opportunities by companies and financial institutions.
TCFD disclosures are a regulatory requirement in the UK for certain FCA regulated firms including asset managers. It aims to develop consistent climate-related financial disclosures that are useful to investors in understanding material climate-related information, risks and opportunities. The purpose of our TCFD reporting is therefore to provide investors with information on how we take climate-related risks and opportunities into account in managing or administering investments on behalf of clients.
The reports are published on an annual basis at both entity and product level and are relevant for individual and institutional investors as well as professional advisors. We publish three TCFD entity reports for the following HSBC Investment Companies:
