Chart of the week – US catching down
Even before this week’s meeting of the US Federal Reserve, it was clear that policy uncertainty has weighed on US and global growth forecasts, with economists busy nudging down their growth numbers for 2025. Expectations for the US have moved down the most. We think that as US exceptionalism fades, a new economic regime – one we call the G-zero economy – is coming into view. It’s one of the themes that we introduced this week in our Mid-Year Investment Outlook.
