Assessment of Value
2019/20 Assessment of Value Report
Stuart White, Chief Executive Officer, HSBC Global Asset management (UK) Ltd
At HSBC Global Asset Management, doing the right thing for our investors is one of our most important responsibilities. As part of this ongoing commitment, we are pleased to publish our first Assessment of Value report. It is our firm belief that this initiative will lead to greater levels of transparency across the UK asset management industry, which will benefit all investors.
Providing value and communicating with transparency have been at the heart of our proposition throughout our 30-year history so we welcome this opportunity to review our fund range and share the findings with our investors.
The FCA provided managers with seven minimum criteria to consider when assessing the value of their funds. In compiling our report, we have taken these seven criteria, together with other factors that investors told us are important and that we believe are relevant and grouped them into three key areas: performance; costs; and quality of service.

What information have we included within our Assessment of Value report?
Our Assessment of Value reports includes an overview of our findings across the full range of our UK offering, as well as a one -page summary for each fund so that investors can see at a glance if their fund has met its objective and has delivered value.
Please click on Fund Centre at the top of this page to access these one-page summaries, alongside other relevant fund information, such as factsheets, KIIDs and prospectuses.
Do investors need to do anything?
The Assessment of Value is a means of informing investors of how we have been delivering value for them. No further action is required.
